WHAT YOU WILL NEED - 2 old chairs (matching)

- Saw
- Drill
- G clamps
- Sandpaper or plane
- Tape measure & pencil
- Dometop screws & bolts
- Paint or stain & brush |
STEP ONE Remove the back and seat from each chair, so you are left with the frames.
STEP TWO Decide on the length of your bench. Ours is 1500mm wide and ideal for three people. Work out the number of slats you need and cut to size. Lightly sand or plane the edges to remove the sharpness.
STEP THREE Drill holes at equal intervals in your chair frames for bolting the slats to. Prepaint or stain your slats and leave to dry.
STEP FOUR Line slats up with the holes on the frames, one at a time. Clamp in place and drill through the slat. Bolt slat in place. Repeat the process until the chair is complete.
